Get the Look- Today’s Top Trends on Every Budget

It’s no secret, great lighting has taken a position of priority in home design and decor in recent years. The right lighting can make or break your space visually, which is why we continually strive to provide our customers with the latest in trending looks that cross a wide variety of price points.  We are passionate about our customers having great lighting options- no matter what their budget may be-  which is why today we want to show you how great illumination and style can be achieved in all price categories.  We have broken down a few of our favorite lighting trends in a side by side comparison of LUX vs. LESS.

The glass beaded trend has exploded in the lighting world!  Encompassing a jewelry-like feel, the beaded detailing adds a touch of glamour and sparkle to interior spaces that lends itself to be desired in more delicate areas, such as the Master Bath or Powder Room.  Our luxury fixture, from the Chanteuse Collection from Currey and Company, boasts artful hand-finishing techniques creating a beautiful silver granello finish, while supporting graceful strands of frosted crystal beading, and has a price tag of $4,240.00.  It is an artful combination of sophistication and modern design.  In comparison, our look for less is the Rylee Chandelier from Crystorama.  Executing the same classic empire shape, this slightly simpler version embodies a more vintage feel with its clear-cut crystal beading and antique gold painted metalwork- competitively priced at $700.00!   Both product designs are excellently executed and keep current with today’s contemporary-leaning design trends, while adding that special amount of sparkle to any interior.

The Orb has upped its game.  This popular lighting structure is being observed in all different metal finishes and materials, covering every style genre from modern to traditional and everything in between.  Nature rules here, however, with two artistic versions of this sought-after trend that are sure to shine center stage when suspended in any environment.  Our luxury Driftwood Chandelier from Currey and Company showcases the humble virtue of nature with its meticulously constructed and hand-wired bodice supporting real pieces of natural driftwood.  Just as in nature, no two fixtures will be exactly alike.  This beautiful hand-made piece of electrified art is priced at $1,140.00.  Our competitive contender, the 6-light Lowell Pendant from Capital Lighting, is a natural beauty all her own.  A slightly more transitional approach, the natural wooden beads combined with a soft tuscan bronze metal finish creates a beautiful blend of visual texture and a modern orb shape, sure to add unique style to transitional spaces.  Pricing in at $898.00, it’s a lighting win.

For those with a more playful spirit, these whimsical pendant fixtures will tug on your farmhouse heart-strings!  We are on board and embracing this trend of simple, yet dynamic lighting structures with a modern-day farmhouse vibe.  The Heywood Collection from Hinkley Lighting is an exciting new series that creates a luxurious mix of rustic style and cosmopolitan flair.  The textured layering of wood, metal and rope combine together for a visually exciting illumination experience.  The luxury 5-light pendant shown above is priced at $649.00.  Our look-for-less design is the casually chic Willowstone 6-light Chandelier from Quoizel.  A more simply detailed structure, this farmhouse chic fixture features a mesh wire bowl suspended from a singular steel hoop-like frame and is priced competitively at $489.99.  The soft, painted grey finish resembles natural wood, providing a casual and comfortable feel to any space.

The days of the drum are far from over.  In fact, we keep finding new reasons to fall in love again with these simple structures.  New interpretations of this trend are giving us a more industrial vibe, filled with heavy chains and metal detailing.  One of our favorite versions of this re-worked lighting look is the Gaines Pendant from Hudson Valley Lighting.  This luxurious $1576.00 price tag is filled with machine-age like detail such as studded rivets and perforated metalwork, adding a strong and handsome edge to any room.  Our look for less option is the striking Oracle 4-light Pendant from Framburg. Handmade in the USA, its $770.00 price tag almost seems to good to be true!  The dramatic chain detail and smooth brass finish on this piece make it a stand-out statement item, and a detailed drum worth drooling over.

Simply put, Retro is RAD.  We are seeing this style blurred and blended with more industrial and restoration feeling designs and we are thoroughly enjoying its restored journey.  We are giddy about both of these featured fixtures!  Our more luxurious item is known as the Webster, from Arteriors.  A strong and sophisticated physique, this 10-light steel framed chandelier finished in antique brass is completely adjustable!  Spreading the movable arms outward creates a more horizontal shape, while pulling them upwards creates a more slim and structured column.  This striking flexible fixture is priced at $1920.00.  It’s fierce competitor, the Doncaster Chandelier from Kichler Lighting, has a softer more vintage-like appearance with a two-tone finish combination and more traditional socket detailing.  An amazing price point of $298.00 won’t provide you with any moving components or an adjustable body, but it’s a whole lotta look for less!
