Project Spotlight: A New Home’s Bright Solution

Kyndra Blog- 1

Sometimes old meets new, and new welcomes old.  One of our talented lighting consultants, Kyndra, helped give a new space a bright solution by incorporating her customer’s favorite fixture from a previous home, and blending it with some current lighting trends to create a fresh new look.Kyndra Blog-3

“Emily recently purchased a new town home.  She came into Creative Lighting looking for new dining and kitchen lighting fixtures that would compliment her furniture- as well as an existing art-nouveau style foyer pendant from her previous home,” says Kyndra,  “After speaking with her about her overall style and lighting goals, we decided that a drum pendant with an interior chandelier would be a great solution for her dining room space. The grey tones and fabric patterns in her furniture were a perfect compliment to this flirty pendant from Capital Lighting.”Kyndra Blog- 2

“In the adjacent kitchen Emily wanted to replace a single spot-light over the peninsula with a small pendant that had a bit of sparkle,” Kyndra explains, “I suggested we look for something of a little larger scale, so the pendant didn’t get lost in the space.  I also wanted this piece to have multiple bulbs to maximize the light output for the area.  The delicate lines of this fixture from Golden Lighting complimented the details of her existing entry light. The mirrored tiles and gold finish brought in that bit of glimmer and glam she was looking for, and it coordinated nicely with the brushed gold finish and shell accents of the new dining room fixture.  It also gave us the right amount of illumination for the space- taking three 60 watt light bulbs.”  Kyndra states, “Together- her existing entry pendant, new dining room fixture and new kitchen pendant created a warm and playful atmosphere that reflected her unique personal style.  It looks fantastic!”
